\"\"Houtenpennen.nl (Dutch for Wooden pens) started out as a hobby, but has since grown out of proportion. Jaap de Geus started his wood turning experiment with making small acrylic glasses for his wife’s doll house. On a small lathe he practised miniature turning, but since then his workshop expended and Jaap is spending as much time as possible in his workshop.
\nIt really started when he ordered his for pen-kit on Craftsupplies.nl<\/a>. After turning his first pen, there was no going back. His wife and two daughters were spoiled with pens, but soon he started to have more pens then he could use. Luckily his colleagues started to notice his pens and asked if he could make some for them as well. So he started to turn more and more in the attic room.
\nAfter he and his wife moved to a bigger house, with a bigger workshop, a larger lathe made its way into the workshop pretty quickly, so he could try to turn other things as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
