International pens

The redwood burl pen (left) is made for a gitar maker in Florida. He was the one who gave me that piece of wood.
The other pen is made of laburnum, and is also for someone in America. As I write this, both pens are already on the other side of the world.

New model

In Italy there are a lot of shops that sell pens. There they use wooden hands to show the pens. I thought it was a great idea and I wanted to try it too. So now I have a new model. What do you think?

Difference between a classic and an elite fountain pen

I got a lot of questions about the difference between the classic and the elite fountain pen. First of all the elite pen also comes as part of a set and the classic pen is sold separately. Second the elite pen is made of golden coloured case, where as the classic pen isn’t. You can see that very clearly on the photo. The elite pen contains mostly gold, where as the classic pen contains black. Giving the elite pen a more luxurious look, hence the name: elite.

So it’s just whatever strikes your fancy. The elite pen is slightly more expensive than the classic pen.

New pens

This past week I had a lot of time to spend in my workshop

Pen made of Diamond wood.

A pen made of letterwood and a pen made of a combination of olive and cocobolowood.

And also a pen made of blue acrylic.

In the following week I will put the photos with Marcel van Berkel on my photo page. I will also put the new order page online with new and recent examples.

New photo’s

The new photo page is online. There you can find examples of pens and other work. The page will, of course, be updated regularly with new work.

To give you a little sneak peek of what you can expect: here are a few, better photo’s of my new workshop and the new lathe.
