I think my daughters really like a dad with a hobby, because they ask me on a regular basis to make pens for them. Like my youngest daughter did. She had a project group at school and the three of them worked very closely for about four months. So when the project was done and they graduated, she asked me to make her team members each a pen.

Exotic and tropical woods are great to work with, but I also love to work with native Dutch wood. Like apple wood. It’s very light with very subtle wood grain which give the pen just that little bit extra.
